How to make a Misty Isle Sour cocktail

From our resident mixologist, Jack at Scottish Mixology included in our Monthly Gin Club, is the medium difficult drink. It's a classic sour and if you're unfamiliar with them, they are possibly the tastiest cocktails you can make with gin. The egg white is optional but we'd thoroughly recommend adding it as not only does it look pretty, it adds a lovely creamy mouthfeel

The gin is from @isleofskyedistillers and is a pink and fruity Old Tom. Infused with pear, raspberries, blackcurrants and meadowsweet (which are all grown on the Isle of Skye), it pairs wonderfully with a citrusy tonic or in a cocktail like this.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

INGREDIENTS

🍸 50ml @isleofskyedistillers Misty Isle Pink Gin
🍸 15ml @whiteherondrinks British Cassis
🍸 1 TSP blueberry jam
🍸 3 cherries (muddled)
🍸 20ml lemon juice
🍸 Egg whites
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
TO MAKE
🍸 Separate an egg and shake whites on own
🍸 Add all other ingredients again, mash up the cherries and shake without ice
🍸 Fill shaker 2/3rds full with ice and shake a third time
🍸 Fine strain into Nick & Nora or coupe
