How to make a Gin & Jam Cocktail

This has been around a while but we find it works particularly well with Rock Rose gin. A simple, delicious and very flexible cocktail - try different jams to see which work best.

It's also a great way to make your own flavoured gins, rather than buying the commercial ones which often taste very artificial.

Couple of tips though....

  1. You need to really shake it hard, jam isn't really interested in being helpful and dissolving nice and easily and needs a lot of persuasion.
  2. If you use jams with seeds in, or jam like marmalade with bits of fruit in, remember to double strain it.  It's a certain way to ruin your enjoyment of the cocktail if you're getting seeds stuck in your teeth!
