How to make a Gin & Jam Cocktail
This has been around a while but we find it works particularly well with Rock Rose gin. A simple, delicious and very flexible cocktail - try different jams to see which work best.
It's also a great way to make your own flavoured gins, rather than buying the commercial ones which often taste very artificial.
Couple of tips though....
- You need to really shake it hard, jam isn't really interested in being helpful and dissolving nice and easily and needs a lot of persuasion.
- If you use jams with seeds in, or jam like marmalade with bits of fruit in, remember to double strain it. It's a certain way to ruin your enjoyment of the cocktail if you're getting seeds stuck in your teeth!
